Equitas, an online media brand and positivity movement for women in the equine industry, today announced that Sarah Campbell, one of its co-founders and head of community, will be stepping down from her position effective March 10th, 2023. Sarah has played a crucial role in the growth and success of Equitas in its first year, and her personality, contributions and ideas will be greatly missed.

During her tenure, Sarah brought real drive and leadership to Equitas and the teams she was involved in leading. Sarah was instrumental in creating and nurturing our Equitas community, which has grown into a vibrant and inclusive network of like-minded people committed to making a positive impact in the equine industry.

“Sarah Campbell has been an integral part of the Equitas team since its inception,” said Shane McCarthy, CEO of Equitas. “Her passion, dedication, and vision have been essential in building our community and shaping our values and culture here at Equitas. I will miss our chats, our laughs and just the fun we had building Equitas together across the first year. Sarah has been amazing to work with and we are sad to see her go. We are deeply grateful for all Sarah has done for us, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours. You will be missed Smurf, but we know you are only a phone call away. From the bottom of my heart thank you for being you and for all your support. It has been a privilege to have you as a co-founder”.

“Sarah has been such an important part of the Equitas journey so far.” said Sarah Elebert, COO of Equitas. “Equitas is an amazing community of people that supports one another and we have Sarah to thank for that. Her engaging personality has had an immense positive effect on our community. Many of our writers are with us because of Sarah.

Sarah Elebert continued. “Sarah will always be a leader to us, and the Equitas community wouldn’t be what it is today without her. Sarah will be greatly missed but we will strive to successfully continue what she started. She is a true friend that I know will always be there supporting us and Equitas in the background. We will forever be grateful for the time and energy Sarah gave to us and our unwavering support for her continues…We wish her nothing but the best for her next chapter.”

“It has been such an amazing experience to be part of such an inclusive, growth inducing, inspiring group of people within Equitas,” said Sarah Campbell. I will always be a proud supporter of this amazing community and humbled to have been a part of the journey to this point”.

“I will never stop cheering for Equitas and the amazing team of trailblazers that work behind the scene to create positive monumental change in our industry. I’m not joking, these women and Shane of course, they are just a different breed, they all inspired me to grow, educate myself, question things, and embrace change everyday I was in their “virtual” company. I have no doubt they will continue to impact the lives of so many other women as they grow into the  media powerhouses I already know they all are”.

Sarah Continued “To my two fellow Co-Founders, Sarah and Shane, thank you for your endless support and encouragement from day one, you two are the business partners any girl could dream of. Thank you for teaching me, understanding me and always pushing for real change in our industry, you two will lead the Equitas generation to phenomenal heights, in ways we can’t even imagine just yet. So from the bottom of my heart, you two legends, just know that I will always be so honoured to call you my cherished friends and biggest inspirations. Forever and always the biggest fan and supporter of this incredible family of equestrians. Equitas for life!”

Equitas will be adding a new addition to the leadership team in the coming days and in the weeks ahead we will be launching a new management group alongside a new community and campaigns team.
