One of the races on the card that I am most excited to see on the weekend is sponsored by a great friend of The Grassroots Gazette is “The Mallow Commercials Handicap Hurdle” which will take place on Saturday, April 15th. This highly competitive race has drawn a talented field of horses, 18 of which have placed in the top 3 in at least 1 of their last 3 starts they will all be vying for a share of the impressive prize purse.

In addition to the Mallow Commercial Handicap Hurdle, there will be plenty of other exciting races to enjoy throughout the weekend, including the Easter Stakes and the Cork Handicap. With top-class facilities and a festive atmosphere, the Racing Home for Easter Festival is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday weekend with family and friends.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting the Racing Home for Easter Festival once again,” said a spokesperson for Cork Racecourse. “This is always one of the most exciting events of the year, and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to enjoy some thrilling racing action and soak up the festive atmosphere.”

Speaking to James O Sullivan of Mallow Commercial who specialise in testing and selling a wide range of equine transport vehicles he said “Cork Racecourse Mallow is an amazing facility and to have it right on our doorstep, we are truly honoured to get an opportunity to sponsor such a high calibre race at the most prestigious racing festival held in Cork each year”
