This is the moment the generations before you have been waiting for. The moment your mother and her mother and her mother have wished for and dreamed about. This moment has arrived, the time for change is here, the time for change is now. Equitas will lead this change as we set off on our dream to build the world’s biggest and most transformative equine media brand for women in the equestrian industry around the world.

I am writing this today as a call to arms. As a way of saying we are close bt we need you all, we need women across the world at all levels of the equine community to rally together and join #TheEquitasGeneration.

Never before have we been this close, where those dreams of the women who set the foundation in place for you and us to succeed… for Justice, Fairness and Equity to be in touching distance and for once, for us to be in control.

Social Media has a lot of negative aspects to it, in my heart and soul I know what it can and does do to peoples minds, their attention span and their need to be accepted, “followed” or “liked”. But it is also the world’s best communication tool, it is totally free to use and enables us to build global communities and movements with a strong strategy, consistency and a few clicks!!

It gives us the opportunity to connect and communicate with women in the equine industry right throughout the world. It gives us the chance to build TRIBES OF WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN and transforming the industry for our daughters and their daughters so they will grow up in a balanced, fair and just community. 

Any equine woman of any age… that feels change is really needed, that women get mistreated, unfair representation, fewer leadership roles, less power, or has ever felt hard done by… should be submitting a piece for Edition. In the hope we can change something…

I mean… this is it… this is the moment we’ve been waiting for… this is the chance to change it, no matter who it is or what level you’re at. 

This is your chance. 

Fortune favours the brave and I get it, this is rich coming from guy. All I want from this is what my motivation is… to be able to look the women I look up to, love and admire in the eyes and know, I’ve tried. I’ve done something… I’ve changed things, that’s it!! That is all the motivation I need to be play a part in the launch of the biggest ever women’s movement for women in the equine industry throughout the world and WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US.

Anyone can write for Equitas… Once you are passionate, you have opinions and you believe in your heart and soul that generational change is needed and that we can be that change… that we can EMPOWER CHANGE, TOGETHER!! Then you can write!!

Over the past 6 Months I have learned so much from our writers… I have learned so much from my co-founders… Mike of course but also the powerhouses Sarah Elebert and Sarah Campbell. They have educated me, inspired me and informed me. They have helped me and supported me and they have been so essential to this getting off the ground. I mean @theordinaryequestrian was texting me when she was in Labour last week – slight side note… Welcome to the world little Prince Samuel James, we can’t wait to meet you.

I have learned so much from our wonderful advisory board. The most important thing I now realise though is THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MEN!! Women want this movement for them…because if they unite, if the movement gathers pace… they will be an unstoppable force that shines brightest in moments of darkness and that inspires the minds and warms of the hearts of women of all ages, at all levels in every corner of the world.

This is the moment, this is our chance. When history looks back on our generation just imagine the legacy we could leave behind if we do this together. Imagine the impact it will have on your daughter, on her daughter and all of your family and friends. Will it be hard? Yes, absolutely… Will it be worth it? More than anything I have ever done before.

I want you to fight those inner demons that bring fear into it or create self doubt… I want you to be the queen you know you can be and to be part of the Equitas Movement but most of all and I mean most of all… I want you to know this is your time… you deserve this. YOU ALL DESERVE THIS and so much more!! 

Join us… be the change you want to see. Believe in yourself because we believe in you, we’ll face this battle together as a movement, with strength in numbers from every corner of the world.
