The first day of the Grand National Festival kicked off with the Manifesto Novices’ Chase, where Banbridge stayed near the front and took the lead at the third last fence, securing a win that was never in doubt.
The highlight of the day was the feature race, which was won by the unbeaten Constitution Hill. This impressive runner looks to have a bright future ahead of him and will likely continue to thrill racing fans for years to come. The question is where to next?
Other notable races included the Aintree Bowl, won by Shishkin after a dramatic finish where Ahoy Senor looked to have the race wrapped up but stumbled at the last fence, giving Shishkin the opportunity to surge ahead and claim victory. It was a thrilling race!!
Famous Clermont was the winner of the Foxhunters’ Chase, with jockey Will Biddick earning his first win in the race. The Henry De Bromhead trained runner Dancing On My Own won the penultimate race of the day after a close battle with Douglas Talking.
The final race of the day was dominated by Dysart Enos, ridden by jockey Paddy Brennan. Despite a fast pace set by Harry Cobden on the front end, Dysart Enos had plenty of energy left and easily pulled ahead to claim a decisive victory.
