“The go-to choice for every rider”
Following their launch in October 2023, ALOGA EQUESTRIAN is on path to become one of the leading horse blanket producers on the market. The brand emerged when its’ founders, Bertram, Harry, Grace and April Allen, noticed a lack of high quality and affordable rugs across all sectors of equestrian industry, from breeding to 5* competition back in 2020, and embarked on three years of meticulous product development. It was a privilege to speak to Grace Allen earlier this month to find out more about the behind-the-scenes work, and what the future might look like for the brand.
At first glance ALOGA EQUESTRIAN blankets appear sleek and durable, a quite impressive image for a relatively new brand, with an undoubtable amount of work going into their production, but the main question is ‘What makes these blankets different from established brands?’
“With about 100 horses from young stock and broodmares to 5* Grand Prix horses on our farm between Ireland and Germany, we had the perfect scenario and the perfect setting to test the comfort and durability of our products rigorously”, Grace explains.

The thorough and diverse way in which ALOGA horse blankets have been tested ensures that they have hit the ground running, whilst receiving irreplaceable feedback by partnering with some of the best grooms and riders across the equestrian disciplines, such as groom Sean Vard, providing his thoughts on the range:
“I’m very impressed so far with the product, even though its in such an early stage of its development. Everything is positive with the blankets; the shape, the fit, the style, the price, the colours, everything is fantastic”.

“This is only the beginning, and I feel they will take over the world with their ambition and their motivation for the sport. It’s going to be a fantastic thing in a few more years and I’m very happy to be part of the journey with them.” – Sean Vard.
ALOGA EQUESTRIAN is predominantly an e-commerce brand, with customers relying on social media windows and their website for access, but as Grace explains, “our customers want to touch and feel the blankets, which means we need to engage with them in person by meeting our customers face-to-face”. Due to this demand, ALOGA EQUESTRIAN will be available at the RDS Horse Show 2024 in Dublin, an exciting opportunity for customers to meet representatives of the brand and discuss their products face to face.
The future seems bright for this up-and-coming brand as the team at ALOGA EQUESTRIAN look forward to the coming years;
“We have some exciting new products in the pipeline and can’t wait to share them with you next year. Our commitment to rigorous product testing means these developments might take a year or two to market, but we believe the wait will be well worth it.” – Grace Allen.
I want to say a massive thank you to Grace Allen for taking the time to talk to me, and to Sean Vard for providing his opinion on the ALOGA Range. There is no doubt that ALOGA EQUESTRIAN will prosper as their products hit the market, and that their reputation for success will continue.
