I am a fully qualified Equine Massage Therapist. I offer one of Ireland’s most exclusive and professional services in Equine Physical Therapy. I believe the treatments should be a positive experience for both horse and rider/owner. I can recommend exercises and stretches for my clients to do at home so the horses can feel the benefit of the massage treatments long after the treatment itself. I am dedicated to improving the performance and welfare of all my clients throughout Ireland.

Any horse owner/trainer/rider that wants to optimize their horse’s performance. Every Equine is an Athlete, they should be treated like one.

What makes your service/product unique or special? 

Professional and fully qualified. Experienced and Passionate. I am constantly thinking forward and looking for new ways to improve Equine Therapy services in Ireland. I believe that Equine Therapy should be a positive experience for both horse and horse owners. I include my clients in the Therapy session as much as possible, giving step-by-step guides on exactly what I am doing, talking through the Therapy process and assigning exercises for the horse that can be done at home to optimize the benefits of Massage.

Why do you do what you do?

There are some ‘cowboy’ therapists in Ireland and for years they have benefitted from dire situations and taken advantage of horse owners. I believe there is a lack of trust between Equine Therapists and horse owners because of this. I want to change the perception of people that have been burnt in the past and give them a positive experience.

What are the problems you solve? 

Increase Equine performance.

Increase Equine welfare by reducing the risk of injury.

Offer the best quality and professional service to its clients.

What values are important to your business?

Knowing that the client is receiving the best possible service in Equine Therapy. Equine welfare is at the forefront of my business. It saddens me to see a horse in pain or discomfort. 

Secondly, Equine performance. I am passionate about increasing Equine Performance and allowing horses to achieve their maximum potential.

Where does the industry need to change/transform/improve?

A better understanding of the importance of Equine Physical Therapy. It should be implemented into every Equine Athletes training programme whether they are a top-level showjumper, a graded winning racehorse or a children’s lead rein pony. Not just a once-off luxury every 6 months.

Goals for the next 12-24Months? 

Build the EquiFlexx Therapy brand so it is recognisable within the Equestrian community throughout Ireland.

Be the face of Equine Therapy in Ireland.

Be treating 15-20 horses per week.

Have a long waiting list of clients.
