It is with a heavy heart that we, the Equitas management team, announce the cancellation of the Equestrian Mental Health Summit, originally scheduled for September 9th and 10th. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after much reflection and deliberation.

Our vision for the Summit was to create a transformative platform that would address the critical issues surrounding mental health in the equestrian community. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure the necessary support to bring this vision to life.

We reached out to hundreds of brands, over 30 affiliates, and all of the representative bodies, yet we simply could not garner the widespread support required to make the event a reality.

It is both sad and frustrating that we couldn’t come together as a community, as an industry, to do something tangible on suicide prevention. This was a chance to create hope through action.

To the stakeholders who stood by us throughout this process, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your unwavering support and belief in our mission have meant the world to us. You have demonstrated the kind of care and consideration that we know is essential to driving change in our industry, and for that, we thank you sincerely.

To the speakers and contributors who committed their time, expertise, and passion, we cannot express enough how much we appreciate your willingness to be part of this important conversation. Your dedication to the cause of mental health in the equestrian world is inspiring, and we hope to collaborate with you in the future as we continue to advocate for the well-being of our community.

While this decision is a setback, it does not diminish our commitment to the mental health and welfare of the equestrian community. We remain dedicated to creating meaningful change and will continue to explore new ways to advance our mission.
