RDS Dublin Horse Show names Rolex as sponsor of the Grand Prix

The Dublin RDS Horse Show has announced Rolex as the new official timekeeper and main sponsor for the Grand Prix at their forthcoming event. Scheduled for Sunday, August 18th, in the main arena of RDS, the Rolex Grand Prix will feature competitors vying for an unprecedented prize pool of €500,000.

The Grand Prix in Dublin, dating back to 1934, boasts a prestigious lineage of champions including notable figures like Eddie Macken, the Whitaker brothers – John and Michael, Nick Skelton, Jessica Kuerten, Lauren Hough, Cian O’Connor, Bertram Allen, Kent Farrington, and Shane Breen.

Pat Hanly, the Show Director, commented on the occasion, stating, “With the centennial of International team jumping at Dublin nearing in 2026, RDS is actively envisioning the future trajectory of the Show and its contributory role in the evolution of equestrian sports.”

He further elaborated, “The RDS is resolute in expanding both the show and the sport, by hosting the crème de la crème of riders and premier international contests in Ireland. Collaborating with dedicated, visionary, and elite sponsors like Rolex is crucial to realize these ambitions.”

The Dublin Horse Show now finds itself among the elite cadre of events such as the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Knokke Hippique, Stephex Brussels Masters, Jumping International de Dinard, and notably, the Grand Slam fixtures in Aachen, Spruce Meadows, Geneva, and Den Bosch, all under the Rolex banner. With the Nations Cup Series, presently known as the Longines League of Nations, no longer stopping in Dublin, the show has solidified its future by incorporating Rolex into its portfolio of sponsors.
