In this year’s event, Irish rider Austin O’Connor emerged as the champion aboard Colorado Blue, while renowned British rider Oliver Townend put on a mesmerizing performance on the Irish sport horse Cooley Rosalent.

They moved up to 4th place after having navigated the cross-country course clear picking up just 1.2 penalties, and showed their mettle in the show jumping phase by going clear and inside the team. Finishing on a score of 34.9 to clinch victory. Beating British Eventer William Fox-Pitt and Grafennacht by just .4 penalties.

They picked up just 6 time penalties on the cross-country which was enough to keep them in the top spot but 8 show jumping penalties proved too much to keep the lead and dropped them into a finishing spot of 3rd.
