In an exciting twist, every registered rider and anyone sponsoring a Kildare rider with €20 or more will enter a draw to win two tickets to see AC/DC live at Croke Park, along with an overnight stay at The Dean. The funds raised through DGR are critical in supporting global and local men’s health programs, particularly in mental health and prostate cancer research. Austin O’Callaghan, a spokesperson for the event, highlighted the critical nature of early conversations about health: “Globally, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men. Over 10 million men around the world are living with or beyond a prostate cancer diagnosis. If you’re 50 or over, it’s important to talk to your GP about keeping yourself healthy and any ongoing tests you may need as part of your health check-ups. You need to start that conversation as soon as possible if you are worried.”
